Background on Health 2.0 VentureConnect

In partnership with HIMSS and Health 2.0, Healthbox helped organize the recent Top 20 Digital Health Startup Showcase at JP Morgan Healthcare Week 2019. With 250 investors and industry leaders in the audience, the event was an opportunity for early- stage companies to showcase their impactful work.

Each of the companies that presented is tackling big and important problems within the healthcare industry. As a group, they span: stage and focus area; seed stage; and Series B companies. In addition, the companies focus on a variety of business models and target customers.

The conference provides a stage for early-stage innovators, with companies such as BeCare Link.  Each day, four digital health companies compete within each category. The categories include: women-led health tech solutions; therapeutics/chronic care innovations; provider services solutions; and AI & machine learning inventions. Competitors were selected from an application process that prioritized data-driven decision making, user-centered innovation, and solutions designed to drive change within the existing ecosystem.
